Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser to remember information from one page to the next, or between visits. Similar tools, such as local storage, work the same way, and on this page we treat them as cookies.
This page lists the cookies used by furryitalia.it and explains how to choose which ones to accept. For everything else about personal data, see the privacy policy.
How to choose
On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. You can accept them all, decline them all, or pick them one by one with “Customise”. Closing the banner with the X counts as declining. The site works the same way even if you decline everything.
We remember your choice for 6 months. You can change it whenever you like from the Manage cookies link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings.
Technical cookies (always on)
These are needed for the site to work and do not require consent.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| fi_consent | Remembers your cookie choices | 6 months |
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks that the browser accepts cookies (login page only) | Session |
| wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wp-settings-* | Login and preferences for the private area (site staff only) | Session or up to 1 year |
| wfwaf-authcookie-* | Wordfence firewall: recognises logged-in users (site staff only) | 12 hours |
Statistics cookies (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to count visits and see which pages are read most. Google Analytics 4 does not log IP addresses. We have turned off Google Signals and ad personalisation. Google Analytics loads only after you consent.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Tells visitors apart with a random identifier | 13 months |
| _ga_X8GENB2BQW | Keeps track of the visit session | 13 months |
More information: Google’s privacy information for business services. If you withdraw consent, the _ga cookies are deleted.
External content: YouTube videos (only with your consent)
Some articles contain YouTube videos. In their place you see a preview. The play button opens the video directly on YouTube. The “Load video” button instead allows external content: the video plays here on the site and from then on other videos load automatically too, as if you had accepted them in the banner. The other categories stay as you set them. You can withdraw this at any time from “Manage cookies”. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), but once the video loads Google may still store cookies or data in your browser, for example to remember player settings. Details are in Google’s privacy policy.
Profiling cookies
The site does not use profiling cookies or personalised advertising.
