Furry events in Italy: the autumn and winter 2026/2027 calendar

Autumn is the busy season for comic fairs in Italy, and Italian furries go to a lot of them, with or without a fursuit. This calendar covers the events from October 2026 to early 2027: a furmeet in the mountains, furry meetups inside comic fairs, big shows such as Lucca Comics & Games and a few dates for the spring. For each event we give dates checked against the official websites. If a furry meetup has not been confirmed yet, we say so.

First, who organises the meetups

In Italy, furry meetups at comic fairs are mostly organised by groups of volunteers. One of the most active in the North is Nexus Fur Events, founded in 2022, which holds a meetup every September at Parco Giardino Sigurtà (near Verona) and arranges get-togethers at the main comic fairs in the North-East. Its website also has a monthly list of Italian fairs, but it points out that there is no meetup unless one is explicitly stated. That is why the calendar below keeps fairs with an announced furry meetup apart from those that are simply a good chance to meet up.

Going back to September for a moment: on 5 and 6 September 2026 Parco Sigurtà hosted PAWSinPARK 2026, the yearly Nexus meetup. Part of the proceeds went to the rabbit rescue section of ENPA (the Italian animal protection charity) in Vicenza.

October 2026

Romics: Rome, 1-4 October 2026

The 37th edition of Romics ends today, Sunday 4 October, at the Fiera di Roma. It is the big autumn event for central and southern Italy. We could not find an official furry meetup announced, but fursuiters usually turn up at the fairs in Rome, so it’s worth checking the local Telegram groups.

San Donà Fumetto: San Donà di Piave (Venice), 10-11 October 2026

The 15th edition of San Donà Fumetto takes place at the Capannone Teso (Fiera del Rosario), via Pralungo 42, from 10 am to 7 pm, with the theme “Myths and Legends”. In the Nexus Fur Events calendar this fair is marked FURRY MEETUP. Check the times and the meeting point on the Nexus channels (Instagram and Telegram).

Furizon Riverside: Pietralba, Nova Ponente (Bolzano), 15-18 October 2026

Furizon Riverside, the autumn furmeet run by APS Furizon, is the only all-furry event of the season. It is held at the Hotel Corno Bianco, in the Dolomites. The ticket costs 185 euros in total (175 euros plus the compulsory 10-euro association membership) and covers three nights with breakfast and dinner. There are at most 130 places and no day tickets. Sales close on 6 October 2026, so anyone who wants to go needs to buy a ticket on FurPanel in the next few days.

Other October fairs

The Nexus calendar also lists some fairs with no furry meetup announced, where people can still arrange to meet:

  • Megacon Torino, 10-11 October, SET (Scalo Eventi Torino);
  • Game Ground, Bolzano, 16-18 October;
  • Reggio Calabria Comics, 16-18 October, Castello Aragonese;
  • Ortigia Comics & Games, Syracuse, 24-25 October.

These dates come from a list kept by volunteers, so check them on the fairs’ official websites before you set off.

Lucca Comics & Games: Lucca, 28 October to 1 November 2026

This year Lucca Comics & Games turns 60, and its theme is “Legacy”. The festival runs from Wednesday 28 October to Sunday 1 November, from 9 am to 7 pm, with evening events as well. According to the official website, tickets for some days are about to sell out, so if you’re thinking of going it’s best to buy them soon.

Italian furries have been meeting up in Lucca for years. In the past FurryDen organised “Lucca Furries & Games”: in 2022 there was a private room in the town centre with a fursuit lounge, artists’ stands, a panel and a fursuit walk of almost 3 km along the walls. For 2026, at the time of writing, we have not found an official furry meetup announced. If you are organising one, write to us and we’ll add it.

If you’re going to Lucca in fursuit: the distances are long and the crowds are heavy, so it helps to have a handler, a shady spot and to know in advance where you’ll change. Group photos are usually taken on the walls.

November 2026

Gardacon: Montichiari (Brescia), 7-8 November 2026

Gardacon is the comics and pop culture fair at the Centro Fiera del Garda (via Brescia 129, Montichiari), open from 10 am to 7 pm. The spring 2026 edition had more than 30,000 visitors. Nexus Fur Events has marked it FURRY MEETUP, and it is the second autumn meetup in the North-East after San Donà.

Vicenza Comics & Games and Sicilia Game Expo, mid-November

According to the Nexus calendar, Vicenza Comics & Games takes place on 14 and 15 November at the Fiera di Vicenza, while Sicilia Game Expo runs from 13 to 15 November at SiciliaFiera, Misterbianco (Catania). No furry meetup has been announced for either.

Milan Games Week & Cartoomics: Rho (Milan), 27-29 November 2026

The sixth edition of the Milan fair is held at Fiera Milano Rho, and its poster is by Posuka Demizu, the illustrator of The Promised Neverland. So far no furry meetup has been confirmed, but it is one of the biggest fairs and one of the easiest to reach for anyone living in Lombardy.

December 2026

Be Comics! Be Games!: Turin, 12-13 December 2026

Be Comics! Be Games!, the mid-December Christmas fair, is held at Oval Lingotto Fiere in Turin. It is the same venue as XMas Comics & Games, which took place there until 2025 and in 2018 also had a “Spazio Furry” (furry area). So far no furry meetup has been announced.

January to March 2027: no dates yet

For the first months of 2027 we have not found any Italian furry events with confirmed dates. Winter meetups usually start as dinners or outings suggested in the regional Telegram groups and are announced at short notice. We’ll update the calendar when there is news.

A look ahead to spring and summer 2027

Wild in the Woods is the furry event run by WildOut APS, the association that organised Back2Fun in April 2026 (83 attendees, 46 fursuits). It is held at the RHI Porta Bologna hotel in Pieve di Cento, in the province of Bologna, from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 April 2027. The theme is a camp in the woods, and the programme includes video games, board games, a disco until late and a fursuit lounge. Registration is already open on the official WildOut website (in Italian), with tickets at 60, 90 and 140 €.

Of the events in this list, Wild in the Woods and Furizon Madness are the actual furry events. Comicon and Etna Comics are large general fairs where fursuiters from central and southern Italy often meet up.

  • Join the regional Telegram groups, where many meetups are announced, especially in central and southern Italy.
  • Before you set off, double-check dates and times on the fairs’ official websites.
